Welcome

I have been working in strategy, finance and technology for 35 years advising businesses in more than 50 countries across multiple industries. Former clients include ABInbev, A.C. Neilsen, Alcoa, American Express, Bank of America, Baring Asset Management, Campari, Cargill, Carlsberg, GSK, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Labatts, Lenovo, Oracle, Petronas, Philip Morris, Reckitt Benckiser, Stanley Black & Decker, TSB Group, Warner Music Group, Westinghouse, and Winterflood Securities.

Since December 2019, I have been working on new research, education and advisory projects having retired from leading Accenture Strategy’s global finance thought leadership for 9 years. Prior to Accenture, I served as Head of Corporate Planning at Bank of America and was a cofounder and chief operating officer of The Hackett Group, helping lead the firm from start-up to IPO during my 12 years with the firm. 

 

I've been a keynote speaker at over 150 events on five continents and am the author of the books, The Management Mythbuster, Best Practices in Planning and Performance Management and Half The World Away.

Prior to moving to the U.S. in 1991, I worked for A.T. Kearney, Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and Lloyds Bank in London. I have degrees in Accounting and Computer Science from The University of Leeds (UK) and am a life member of the British Computer Society (MBCS)
